This reference maps guided setup in Deal Haven to optional branches and resume behaviour. The wizard in the app is always authoritative; use this page when you need a compact lookup.
Step map
| Order | Wizard label | Required? | Skip or branch |

| 1 | Create deal | Yes | — |
| 2 | Tasks | No | Skip or continue without adding tasks |
| 3 | Accounts gate | Yes (choice) | Not yet skips import substeps |

Accounts import vs skip
| Situation | Continue to documents |
|---|---|
| You applied a base import in the dialog | Enabled |
| Guided setup recorded import as applied | Enabled |
| You skipped import | Enabled via Skip import for now (no accounts data applied yet) |
| Gate Not yet | Import substeps never shown; go straight to documents |
You can always import later from the deal’s Financial analysis view.
Documents present vs skip
| Situation | How to advance |
|---|---|
| No files uploaded | Skip |
| One or more files uploaded | Continue (required if you do not skip) |
Uploads are stored on the deal; skipping does not delete files you already added.
Resume and exit
- Exit to dashboard saves your last step; the dashboard banner offers Continue.
- Don't send me to guided setup automatically (on exit) stops auto-redirect; you can still open guided setup manually.
- Organisation viewers see a message that guided setup is for members who can create and edit deals.
